Please read the following Good Practice Rules:

I understand that I should abide by the following when attending panel sessions:

  • Not eat spicy foods, drink coffee, use strong toothpaste/mouthwash and smoke cigarettes etc. for at least one hour prior to the session
  • Not use lipstick / lipbalm / perfumed products / aftershaves / hairspray / perfumed soap/ or perfume etc. when attending a panel session.
  • Turn my mobile phone off whist working at Tesco Customer Testing Centre.
  • Eat all products that are presented to me, ensuring that I eat a piece of every part/component of the product.
  • Not talk with the other panellists when there are products in the room.
This is to allow people to concentrate fully on their assessments and prevent people influencing one another with their opinions. If there aren't any products in the room you may talk quietly between yourselves.
  • Contribute to the discussion with my views & listen to everyone else views. All views are important to us.
  • Not influence other panellists in any way, we value everyone's opinion.
  • Always cleanse the palate between samples using water.
  • Skimpy skirts, dresses or shorts, crop tops and string strap vest tops are not appropriate to be worn to work. Leggings may be worn under dresses. Flip flops may not be worn. No trainers Monday - Thursday but allowed on Fridays.

I understand that my work at Tesco involves providing information about products, whether it is through discussion and/or work on a computer.

It is my responsibility as a panel member to ensure I taste the right sample and I should tell the panel leader immediately & quietly if I have any issues with a product.

I understand that if my contribution to discussion is not sufficient, or I do not follow the guidelines above, I will be given a warning. If my performance does not improve Tesco has the right to withdraw my employment.
